No AI model in this demo: these are the best-matching passages from the notes. On a real install, a model writes the answer from these citations.
  1. [1] TCK-0412: Line 3 spindle 2 vibration and surface marks · Problem
Quality found chatter marks on 14 titanium bone screws (order 26-1187). The marks come from spindle 2 on Line 3, which vibrates above 9'000 rpm.

  2. [2] TCK-0412: Line 3 spindle 2 vibration and surface marks · Analysis
Nina Frei ran the spindle at 6'000, 9'000 and 12'000 rpm and measured with the hand-held vibration meter. Reading at 12'000 rpm: 4.8 mm/s (limit 2.8 mm/s). Cause: a worn front bearing on spindle 2.

  3. [3] Replace the bearings on all four spindles of Line 3 during the retrofit window, not one by one when they fail
Decided on 18.05.2026 in TCK-0412: Line 3 spindle 2 vibration and surface marks. Why: • spindles 1, 3 and 4 have the same running hours as spindle 2.

  4. [4] Knowledge handover: Nina Frei, maintenance · How to calibrate the Line 3 spindles
    1. Warm the spindle up for 15 minutes at 6'000 rpm. Cold readings always look too good. 2. Clamp the reference mandrel from the blue case, not the grey one; the grey one is bent. 3. Measure the runout at the tip with the dial gauge. Target: 2 µm or less. Above 4 µm, check the tool holder before you blame the bearing. 4. Measure vibration at 6'000, 9'000 and 12'000 rpm. Above 2.8 mm/s at any speed, plan a bearing check within a week. 5. Write all readings into the maintenance log, with the spindle hours.
