#### Why we are doing this
BW-Classic, our in-house ERP from 2004, runs on one server that has been out of support since 2025. Only one external developer still knows the code. Month-end closing takes four days, mostly manual exports to Excel.

#### Options discussed
- Upgrade BW-Classic: cheapest in the short term, but the developer risk stays.
- NovaERP (cloud, Swiss data centre): standard production module, bills of materials (BOM) with variants, Swiss VAT and payroll.
- Two other vendors were too expensive for a company of our size.

#### Decisions
- Decision: Replace BW-Classic with NovaERP, hosted in a Swiss data centre.
  - Why: the old server is out of support and only one external developer still knows the BW-Classic code.
  - Why: NovaERP covers production, purchasing and finance in one system, so month-end closing should drop from four days to one.
- Decision: Reto Ammann owns the ERP migration; Sandra Meier is the sponsor and signs off the budget of CHF 240'000.
